“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of
services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone.”
1 Corinthians 12:4-6
Ministries: Community and World Outreach
Pilgrim cares for our community and world through many ministries.
These ministries include the quilting group which makes quilts for those in need (including refugees, nursing home residents and children in foster care), volunteering monthly at Mid-City Nutrition Center in Port Huron, supplying our food pantry for those in need, working on Habitat for Humanity houses, providing Thanksgiving dinners, gifts for the needy at Christmas though the Jesse Tree, providing Christian care- giving and support with pastoral and lay member visits, completing mission trips to camp Michi-Lu-Ca, diaster relief areas in the U.S. and even Haiti, walking each year in the Blue Water Area CROP Walk, and participating in the Lutheran World Relief School Kit collection and Bath Soap collection. Locally, we support the Read for Life program in Port Huron with volunteers and collection of juice boxes for the learners.
